Tyres come in a huge variety of different sizes and types and are an important vehicle component performing a demanding job in how your EV drives and performs.
Fitment of the correct size and type of tyre is critical; fitting the wrong tyre could have potentially dangerous, damaging (and potentially legal) implications; even fitting a slightly different tyre tread pattern can affect how the vehicle performs and in some cases potentially cause problems with the vehicle drivetrain and associated systems.
To make sure that you select the correct tyre you'll need to make sure that you know the exact details of the tyre size and type fitted to your EV.
For this you'll need to physically check the tyres on your vehicle; it's not unusual for vehicles of different specifications or model years to have a different tyre fitted. Remember to check both front and rear tyres too as some vehicles have different sizes tyres front and rear.
Tyre details - refer to the detail above for the tyre size and type details, you'll also need to make a note of the manufacturer and tread pattern.

Some vehicles come equiped with "Original Equipment - OE" marked tyres; these tyres may have been specially adapted to deliver some key characteristics as required by the vehicle manufacturer's specification. These adaptations may be slight or subtle and may not be immediately obvious compared to a non-OE marked tyre.
